BRENTON HARRIS

I am a renaissance man with a deep love and curiosity for the natural world. Along my journey, I’ve been a bartender, janitor, radio dream interpreter, research project manager, spiritual teacher, business owner, author, minister, and throughout them all, a student of meditation. I began my inner journey during my last year at Texas A&M University in 2007, and earned my Doctorate of Divinity from the School of Metaphysics (SOM) in 2016. Since then I’ve focused my efforts inward, building relationships with the inner planes, my guides, and the beings and spirits of the natural world. My work with the Human Design and Gene Keys systems has also profoundly influenced my journey, and I now incorporate these systems into my work with clients. My influences include ancient texts and philosophies ranging from the Upanishads to the Tao, elemental practices rooted in buddhism and hermeticism, mystery schools including SOM and the Golden Dawn, and embodied awareness from teachers like Philip Shepherd and Richard Rudd (and the Gene Keys system).

At heart, I’m a spiritual teacher, and the most fulfilling work I do involves helping others remember their wholeness. I truly believe that each of us has a core-centered place of awareness and intuition, beyond the head-dominant perspective of most of our society, today. I also believe that we are dynamic, spiritual beings who are deeply interconnected with each other and with the natural world. Much of our collective work now involves slowing down, listening, and remembering that we grow like trees. In this light, spiritual practice is one of the most powerful, profound avenues for self-discovery and well-being. In an effort to promote the importance of mental health and self-care, I now work to bring the myriad benefits of spiritual practice to individuals, groups, corporations, and communities, both in-person and online. Over the last 17 years I’ve been fortunate to work with people in both group and individual settings, bringing my passion for the esoteric secrets of nature and mindfulness.

I’m a Texan native who has only ever found “home” inside. I spent the last three years (2022-2025) living in Oregon–an experience I leveraged to awaken a profound understanding of Earth, Fire, Water, Air, and Space. In March 2025 I returned to the piney woods of NE Texas area, where my current projects and priorities include teaching globally and building my Elemental Mindfulness youtube channel, working with people in nature-based and gene keys coaching, and developing out-of-the-box offerings in workshop and retreat settings. I’m beyond grateful to join The Alchemy Yoga in our YTT programs, because I truly love and endeavor to live by these secret truths. You can find more about me at www.taoofbrenton.com.
